This month, I’m participating in a Five Minute Friday challenge called “31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes,” responding to a one-word prompt for five minutes each day in October. Click here to join in!
Inspiration is a hard term to define. In my experience, it usually propels me to some form of creative expression, whether that’s writing, making something, talking to someone, or making a plan. Sometimes it seems as though God is telling me to do something; at other times, the feeling seems to come out of nowhere.
Many artists find inspiration in nature. Photographers might be inspired by the work of others. A writer might feel inspired after reading a great novel
The greatest work of inspiration is the Word of God. The Lord spoke to men and compelled them to write volumes of literature retelling God’s works among His people, expressing themselves in poetry, and teaching the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. This treasury of wisdom was inspired by the God of the universe Himself, given to us through humble servants and created to show us the way to eternal life.
