This month, I’m participating in a Five Minute Friday challenge called “31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes,” responding to a one-word prompt for five minutes each day in October. Click here to join in!
“Hope is a favorable expectation for the future.” This is what missionary and speaker Ken Rudolph always told us at the winter retreat I went to every year with my youth group.
I have hope…
…That God has a perfect plan for my future here on earth.
…That He has ordained all of my relationships and experiences.
…That He will use me to accomplish His purposes for His glory.
…That He will never leave or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5).
…That I will live with Jesus in a resurrected body for eternity.
…That any struggle I face in this life is nothing compared to the joy I will experience with the family of God forever after death (2 Corinthians 4:17).
…That He who began a good work in me will see it through to its completion (Philippians 1:6).
…That sin and death will be gone for good when Jesus, who has already won the victory, returns to ultimately defeat them.
