Day 31: Close
We’ve made it to the end! This month, I’ve been participating in a Five Minute Friday challenge called “31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes,” responding to a one-word prompt for five minutes each day in October. Click here to read more posts in this series.
Close can be pronounced in two different ways to mean two entirely different things. I suppose I’ll talk about the one that means “near” today.
Being close with others is something I really enjoy. I love having friends who I can trust and who care deeply about me. However, I have a tendency to forget to stay close to Christ, the most important Friend I have. Staying close to Him and in tune with His Spirit results in strength, peace, and joy. He gives wisdom and guidance and courage.
Lord, help me remember to cling to You, keeping in step with You, leaning on You, longing for Your presence.
